Tequila Patr¢n partners with ALMS

Tequila Patr¢n, an ultra-premium spirits brand, has entered into a marketing partnership with the American Le Mans Series for 2008. The new partnership encompasses title sponsorship of the Long Beach round of the Series as well as a unique trackside activation program to be known as Club Patr¢n.

The American Le Mans Series race in Long Beach on April 12 will be named the “Tequila Patr¢n American Le Mans Series at Long Beach." Patr¢n will launch its partnership program at the 56th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida (March 12-15) where Club Patr¢n will appear for the first time. Dubbed by many in the industry as a hospitality club extraordinaire, it features a relaxed club-like atmosphere and a decidedly upscale ambiance where American Le Mans Series adult fans can mingle and enjoy several selections of Tequila Patr¢n beverages.

“The Patr¢n Spirits Company is looking forward to a great new partnership with the American Le Mans Series and Tequila Patr¢n-Highcroft Racing," said Ed Brown, President/CEO, Patr¢n Spirits Company. “We are looking for a long-term relationship with the Series, which we believe addresses our marketing objectives better than any other motorsports platform can provide. We also want to add value to the Series’ marketing objectives and are very open to striving to achieve both corporate goals."

Patr¢n entered the world’s premier sports car series earlier this year through a sponsor association with Highcroft Racing, Acura’s top team a year ago and based out of Danbury, CT. Highcroft races an Acura ARX-01b in the Series’ LMP2 class with drivers Scott Sharp and David Brabham at the helm. Stefan Johansson will join the duo for Sebring’s endurance classic. A year ago, it captured four podium positions and an overall pole at Houston’s Lone Star Grand Prix.

“To have an ultra-premium brand like Tequila Patr¢n join the Series as a new corporate partner validates and reaffirms our own premium brand positioning as well," said Ed Triolo, Vice President of Marketing and Brand Development for the American Le Mans Series. “The best part, however, is seeing Patr¢n’s enthusiasm for activating elements that will enhance both of our brands and enhance the at-track experience for our loyal fans."
