Kentucky track granted extension on appeal deadline
Kentucky Speedway won’t have to file its appeal in its antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR and International Speedway Corp. until April 21. The track got a two-week extension on its appeal deadline, the final extension it will be allowed. The original date was March 5, and that had been extended to April 7.
No date for a hearing has been set in the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati. NASCAR and ISC have until May 27 to issue their initial response to Kentucky’s appeal, and final briefs in the case are now due July 11.
