Conor Daly – 2008 season starts with Double/Double

Conor Daly will be busy in 2008. He will compete in the Snap-On Stars of Karting championship in two classes, TaG and the new TaG shifter class. He will also compete in the 14 rounds of the Skip Barber National championship presented by Mazda. Conor is the reigning Stars TaG East champion and won three Skip Barber regional races in 2007. He will again race for the Grand Products Top Kart team .

In addition, he will also take part in an F2000 testing program throughout the season to accelerate his learning of the technical side of race cars. It is anticipated that he will do a minimum of two European car races later in the season.

His season will start off with a Double/Double on the weekend of March 13th – 16th, where he will compete at the Sebring International Raceway in the first two rounds of the Barber National championship on Thursday/Friday. The Skip Barber races will be support events to the 12 hour endurance activities, a race that Conor’s Dad, Derek Daly, won twice in 1990 and 1991.

On Friday evening he will drive north to Ocala where he will compete in the last two rounds of the Florida Winter Tour on Saturday/Sunday.
