Gordon named cover driver for EA NASCAR game

Electronic Arts Inc. officials announced Wednesday that Sprint Cup driver Jeff Gordon will appear on the cover of EA Sports NASCAR 09 game.

“It’s exciting being on the cover of NASCAR 09," Gordon said. “The game is as real as it gets, and it’s been great being involved with it on this level. I look forward to helping gamers in NASCAR 09."

Gordon is a four-time Cup champion who is sixth all-time with 81 victories. As part of the game’s new “career mode" known as “Sprint for the Cup," Gordon will serve as a guide and mentor to users of the game.

NASCAR 09, which will be available in North America on June 10, will be available for Playstation 2 and Playstation 3, as well as
Xbox 360.
