Hamilton – I did the best I could

Australian GP winner Lewis Hamilton said the best he could do was 4th in the Malaysian GP where Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen romped to an easy win.
"We got off to a very good start, I was happy with that to go from ninth to fifth," Hamilton said. "I was pushing Mark Webber along all the time, but following someone is very difficult, it doesn't matter how fast you are – he drove very well."
"I did the best job I could," he added. "I pushed very hard to get fourth at the end and believed I could get it but Jarno did a great job and drove very well. I think we just have to do a better job in qualifying next time."
Meanwhile, Robert Kubica was delighted with his first podium finish since the 2006 Italian Grand Prix as he fought back from a pointless Australian Grand Prix to finish second, just 20 seconds behind Kimi Raikkonen.
"A fantastic result for the team, a second, second place in a row for us," Kubica said after the race. "After a disappointing Australian race for me I'm very happy for myself and the team – my first podium since Monza in 2006."
