Carlin win again in race two at Oulton Park

Carlin Motorsport concluded a successful weekend at Oulton Park today, to take two further wins at the opening round of the 2008 British F3 International Series. Having taken victory in the first race with Oliver Turvey and Andy Meyrick, the Hampshire based squad cheered home Jaime Alguersuari to his first F3 victory and Meyrick to a double win on his F3 debut. Red Bull driver Brendon Hartley crossed the line fourth, with Sam Abay 11th and Oliver Turvey 12th. National racer Kristjan Einar finished 6th in the National Class. As the lights went out for the second race of the day, Alguersuari made amends for his start in the first race by making a lightening getaway to lead the field into the first corner. From there, the young Spaniard dominated the race, to pull out nearly a second a lap from second placed man Marcus Ericsson and break the lap record on lap ten. Behind him, the order remained unchanged for the other Carlin drivers, with Hartley maintaining fourth place, Sam Abay 11th and Oliver Turvey 14th. The National Class was again led by Andy Meyrick with Kristjan Einar in 7th place.
