Dennis says Hamilton shunt driver error
(GMM) Lewis Hamilton's high speed crash in Friday afternoon practice was probably caused by driver error, McLaren boss Ron Dennis has said.
Dennis told reporters in the Bahrain paddock that the 23-year-old championship leader lost control after letting his car run too wide on the curbs on the exit of turn seven.
The Mercedes-powered team's principal added that the telemetry does not indicate that the incident could have been caused by a car defect.
He said Hamilton, who sustained some slight bruising in the shunt, will be back in action on Saturday morning.
