Robertson ready for St. Pete challenge

Any street race in the American Le Mans Series season is a challenge, especially it being the first race off the season. It becomes even more difficult for a first-year, full-season team like Robertson Racing. And oh yeah…the team also is running its Doran Ford GT for only the second race of the season.

“The Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg has presented an opportunity for myself and David Murry to partner up to conquer this street course," said co-driver Andrea Robertson, who owns the team with husband David. “With a new car AND a circuit that we have never driven on, the ‘challenge’ part of the race is one we take on with excitement and anticipation.

“The new Ford GT MK VII was GREAT at Sebring; with it just delivered six days before that event, we were amazed at the solid handling and smoothness of the car," she added. “It's been at the shop since then with our crew going over the car to make it ready for the first American Le Mans Series street race of the year. We expect to keep our heads up, foot on the gas and car nose pointed towards Long Beach!"
