Honda to evaluate major aero update

The next round of the 2008 Formula One season is not for another three weeks with the teams and drivers having a small break before the start of the European leg of the championship at the Barcelona circuit in Spain. However, before teams return to the racing action, a four day scheduled test will take place at the same venue.

The majority of teams will be present for this test as they have not had the chance to do any testing at since the last week in February, and the Honda racing team is no exception. With a stronger race in Bahrain last weekend that saw Jenson Button make it into the third and final qualifying session, team principal Ross Brawn is hoping they will take an even bigger step for the next round.

"We have a four-day test in Barcelona where we will evaluate our major aero upgrade," he explained. “Obviously most teams will also be making improvements however we hope our step will be larger than most. We also have a straight-line test in Menorca to measure the new aero package full size."
