Schu vows legal action against ‘Schumi III’ reports

(GMM) Michael Schumacher has threatened to take legal action if any more press reports or photographs are published about his nine-year old son Mick.

It emerged last week that, entered anonymously under his mother's maiden name Betsch, Mick Schumacher recently made his racing debut at the wheel of a go-kart in Spain.

But former seven time world champion Schumacher, who watched qualifying for the Spanish grand prix from the Ferrari pitwall at Barcelona, pleaded on Saturday: "Let our kids be kids. Do not make headlines out of them.

"It is not his fault that he has a famous father."

The 39-year-old pointed out that German laws help to protect children's privacy, and indeed the latest photographs in the major newspaper Bild depict young Mick with a blurred face.

Schumacher warned: "We are prepared to take legal action against anyone who publishes pictures or articles."
