Kanaan said Kansas race was boring

Tony Kanaan, who finished second, didn’t sound too excited about Sunday’s race. “I think the race itself was kind of boring for all of us and I think the fans, too," Kanaan said. “I don’t know what we can try to do to make these races better."

Asked later to elaborate, Kanaan said he didn’t blame the track. Scott Dixon led for all but seven of the first 152 laps, and winner Dan Wheldon led for the final 49.

“I mean, we just wanted to see some action," Kanaan said. “Once the races start you see Scott pulling away, Dan following him, we realized that we need to just get in line and keep following everybody. And to me, that was boring. I’m not criticizing the type of racetrack or the type of cars. I’m just saying we had some more exciting races in Kansas."
