The festival will also be recognizing the achievements of many other British racing drivers who helped to shape the sport including Colin Chapman, Jim Clark, Sir Stirling Moss, Adrian Newey, Sir. Jackie Stewart and John Surtees.

Hamilton will not be the only F1 face at the event either – McLaren, Ferrari, BMW, Williams, Honda, Red Bull and Toyota have all conformed that they will be attending the festival.

Festival of Speed founder the Earl of March said, “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Lewis back for the second year running. He really thrilled motor sport fans here last year and I am certain he will put on another great show for them again. I can’t wait! It will be great if Lewis can repeat Mike Hawthorn’s Formula 1 success 50 years ago and win the world championship for Britain this season."
