France: COT satisfies
One of the biggest concerns this season has been the new car's performance at the 1.5-mile tracks. Races at Atlanta, Texas and the all-star race featured complaints about the action, the cars and even the tires.
France said any changes to the cars will be "tweaks.''
"[Teams] can't all figure it out if we're changing things as we go along,'' France said in a brief meeting with reporters before Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
"We've got to let them deal with the car they have. Some are figuring it out faster than others, but every week somebody else comes and sorts it out. We look at it every week. Obviously, the mile-and-a-halves have a slightly different show than anywhere else, but the car is really fine. It's doing absolutely what we want.'' Roanoke.com
