Aussies excel in IndyCar

Sydney's Ryan Briscoe has secured his maiden IndyCar Series win this morning with victory in the ABC Supply/A.J. Foyt 225 IndyCar Series race at the Milwaukee Mile, leading Brisbane-born Kiwi and Indy 500 winner Scott Dixon across the line.

All three of the Trans-Tasman drivers in the IndyCar Series this year have now won a race within the unified 2008 season with 2007 IndyCar Series runner-up Dixon winning both the season-opener at Homestead-Miami and the legendary Indy 500 just last weekend, and Queensland's Will Power taking the win at the Champ Car World Series Finale in Long Beach.

Tony Kanaan, who won the past two years at The Mile, finished third and Dan Wheldon was fourth. Helio Castroneves finished fifth and Oriol Servia was a season-high sixth.
