Hamilton laughs off father’s Porsche crash

(GMM) Lewis Hamilton on Thursday laughed off his father's crash at the wheel of a $600,000 sports car.

On Wednesday, Anthony Hamilton – who is also the 23-year-old McLaren driver's manager – crashed a borrowed Porsche Carrera GT through a hedge and into a children's playground near his UK home.

"I got Dad's email yesterday and I just laughed," Hamilton was quoted as saying from the scene of the Canadian grand prix by The Sun.

"He is a very good driver but I don't know what he was up to," the championship leader added.

To The Mirror, Lewis also said: "My dad's my manager and loves cars. But, whenever we go somewhere, I'd always rather go by train."
