NCTS Ratings Continue to Climb on SPEED
The dramatic photo-finish NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race from Michigan scored an average Nielsen Household Rating of 1.00 (725,000 households), up 39 percent from last year’s 0.72 (512,000 households). The race peaked at a 1.12 (808,000 households), up 27 percent from last year’s peak of 0.88 (628,000 households).
The Michigan race marks the sixth consecutive NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race with a year-to-year ratings increase on SPEED. Overall, ratings for the NCTS are up 23 percent year-to-year (1.02 vs. 0.83).
Again, much of the growth was driven by younger audiences, as ratings in the Men 18-49 demographic were up 139 percent (0.62 vs. 0.26) from a year ago.
