Firestone picks slightly faster tire for Iowa

Firestone Racing engineers selected a tire specification for Iowa Speedway based on results gathered at a test there in early May. These tires use the same compounds on both the right and left sides as last year, with minor construction changes to all four tires compared to 2007. This small change should result in slightly more grip from all four positions. The left side tires will be used at Nashville Superspeedway later this season, while the right side tires have already been utilized at Homestead, Kansas and Texas.
