NASCAR suspends former BDR truck series crew member
NASCAR officials announced Tuesday that Bill Davis Racing crew member Amanda Mathis has been suspended and placed on probation for an incident during the Craftsman Truck Series race June 14 at Michigan International Speedway.
Mathis, the team’s public relations representative, has been suspended until July 30 and placed on probation for the end of the season. She is no longer employed by BDR.
NASCAR penalized her under Section 12-4-F of the truck series rule book: “any member who participates in fights or altercations in the pits or on the race premises."
NASCAR said Mathis was involved in a prerace altercation with track security officials.
