Tire ‘cut’ deflated Hamilton – Bridgestone
(GMM) Bridgestone F1 boss Hirohide Hamashima said on Sunday he believes championship leader Lewis Hamilton's tire puncture during the Hungarian grand prix was caused by a cut in the sidewall.
He added: "However we are still investigating the reason as (the cause) is not immediately apparent from initial analysis."
McLaren boss Ron Dennis, meanwhile, said it was "damage" that caused the British driver's left front puncture.
A Bridgestone statement said "the exact cause" of the lap 41 puncture "is being investigated by Bridgestone and the team".
