Cup qualifying rained out at Watkins Glen
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying at Watkins Glen International has been canceled because of rain. The field for Sunday's Centurion Boats at The Glen will be set based on owner points, meaning Joe Gibbs Racing's Kyle Busch will start from the pole.
NASCAR had already canceled the opening Cup practice. The NASCAR Nationwide Series teams are scheduled to practice from 2:45 to 5 p.m. EDT because that series has access to rain tires.
