Ranger lands Nationwide ride with Fitz Motorsports
Reigning NASCAR Canadian Tire Series champion Andrew Ranger will drive in seven of the remaining 10 Nationwide Series races for Fitz Motorsports.
Ranger, who made his series debut for the team at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal earlier this month, will return to the No. 22 Dodge for this weekend’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The 21-year-old Ranger will also drive in races at Richmond, Charlotte, Memphis, Texas and Phoenix and Homestead.
“I am really happy and honored that Fitz Motorsports has chosen me as their driver for these races," Ranger said in a news release. “To run in the Nationwide Series is a new challenge for me and also an excellent path for my career as a NASCAR driver.
“I am more than ready to take this on, and I will give it everything I’ve got to position myself as a contender in this series."
