Ecclestone threatens to scrap British GP
Bernie Ecclestone has again threatened the future of the British GP, stating that if Donington isn't ready in time there will be no Brit GP.
An amount of £100million has been promised by the circuit's owners over the next four years in order to bring the venue up to scratch.
But should they fail to come through on their promise, Ecclestone has made it clear that the Brit GP won't revert to Silverstone. Instead it will just be scrapped.
"We've been playing around for six or seven years," he said. "If Silverstone couldn't do it before then why could they do it now?
"We scaled back so much for them and agreed things we shouldn't have, to keep things at Silverstone. If there is no Donington there is no British GP."
