McLaren to focus on Monza
McLaren will be fully focused on winning in Ferrari's backyard and embarrassing them in front of the tifosi when they arrive in Monza later this weekend, rather than the penalty on their driver Lewis Hamilton at Spa according to team CEO Martin Whitmarsh.
"We’ve got less than a week to go before the Italian Grand Prix and we’re going to focus on that," Whitmarsh said, speaking to ITV. "We had a good test there and we’re going to make sure we can win in Italy. So that’s the mood; we’re in one of those wars and we’re going to carry on fighting."
On the 25-second penalty itself, he added: "I don’t think it’s for us to comment on what it does for the sport. I think for us it’s disappointing, but we’ve got to make sure we focus on the next race."
