Sennheiser extends its sponsorship of Alex Tagliani

Ubisoft and Sennheiser sponsor Tagliani effort

Earlier today, Sennheiser, a world leader in the supply of high-end audio equipment to the aviation, entertainment and telecommunications industries announced an extension to its sponsorship of Montreal-born racing driver Alex Tagliani for 2009. The agreement contains an option to continue for a further two years thereafter.

Carrying the iconic Sennheiser branding on his helmet through the course of this year, Tagliani has facilitated business-to-business relationships between Sennheiser and Wal-Mart, as well as with another of his blue-chip sponsors, Ubisoft. The added benefit that the 34-year-old, tri-lingual driver has delivered through public appearances has combined to ensure that Sennheiser chose to extend their relationship for 2009. Following Alex's recent signing with Conquest Racing for the remaining races of the current IndyCar Series season – after impressing the team with his speed and technical knowledge – Sennheiser will continue to support Alex in his quest to participate in the IndyCar Series in 2009.

Speaking from Sennheiser Canada's Pointe Claire head office, company President, Jean Langlais commented, "We are excited to continue our sponsorship of Alex Tagliani. He's been a delight to work with this year and has delivered benefit in many more areas than we could have originally expected. He's the perfect ambassador for our brand, and we look forward to continued success in 2009."

Commenting on the announcement, Alex Tagliani offered, "It's a real honor to represent Sennheiser. The brand is all about high quality and technological advantage and I've really enjoyed representing them this year.

"I look forward to working in support of their newest products and brand initiatives in 2009 and remain fully-committed to their success."
