Ferrari praise for STR and Vettel

It may not have been one of the two Prancing Horse drivers on the top step of the Monza podium on Sunday afternoon, a pride of place for the Maranello based squad and a position they strive to achieve every year, however, if it wasn’t them, then it was the next best thing and the win couldn’t have been any closer to them unless it was Massa or Raikkonen whooping for joy and spraying champagne all over the crowd.

By becoming the first Italian Formula One team that was not Ferrari in over fifty years, Scuderia Toro Rosso made history in more ways than one and while disappointed that their guys weren’t up there, Ferrari team Principal, Stefano Domenicali offered his congratulations to Scuderia Toro Rosso, knowing how much they deserved it…

"They did an extremely fantastic job. They deserve it, they are close to us, we are happy to work with them because we are giving them our engine," he said. “And we offer our congratulations to Sebastian Vettel because he drove perfectly and he was able to do a fantastic qualifying and he was able to do a good race without taking any risks, above all at the beginning in the difficult conditions, so a really great job."
