(GMM) Red Bull mogul Dietrich Mateschitz has played down suggestions that Sebastian Vettel's Monza win might have driven up the sale price of his 50 per cent Toro Rosso stake.

With the Faenza based team unable to keep sharing a car with Red Bull Racing beyond 2009, billionaire Mateschitz earlier this year declared that his half of the outfit is for sale.

"Toro Rosso did not have a price before Monza and it does not now," the Austrian said in interview with Kleine Zeitung newspaper.

"The victory on Sunday changes nothing," Mateschitz added.

The 64-year-old expressed disappointment with the form of his senior team Red Bull Racing this year, but can also see the bright side of 2008: "We have one of the fastest chassis in formula one".

Mateschitz is fully aware that the main differentiator between Red Bull's RB4 and Toro Rosso's STR3 – their respective customer engines – is key to the performance difference currently seen on track.

The future of Toro Rosso, however, is very much up for grabs.

"We are waiting for an accurate definition of the new regulations," he said, referring to the final configuration of the customer car rules for 2010 and beyond.

"It is not that we want to concentrate on one team, but a matter of necessity. It would be irresponsible to have two self-sufficient teams," Mateschitz explained.
