Foyt Racing signs Meira

Vitor Meira has landed an IndyCar Series ride for the 2009 season with A.J. Foyt Racing. Meira, who spent the past three years at Panther Racing, will replace Darren Manning in the No. 14 car, team officials confirmed today. Meira will make his debut with Foyt's team in the Oct. 26 race in Surfers Paradise, Australia. Their contract is for the 2009 season with an option for 2010.
