Arguably the most successful American driver in the history of racing, Andretti, 68, is also the patriarch of the famed Andretti racing family. Dubbed the "Driver of the Century" by the Associated Press, Andretti was successful on the NASCAR and Formula One circuits, winning the 1967 Daytona 500 as well as the 1969 Indianapolis 500. His success on the Formula One circuit is almost unmatched, including 12 wins and one world championship in 1978.
He's also a four time IndyCar champion (1965, 1966, 1969, 1984) and he competed in the Indianapolis 500 a total of 29 times until his last race on the famed track in 1994. He made history with racing sons Michael and Jeff and his nephew John when all four Andrettis competed in the 1991 Indy 500 before Mario Andretti retired from racing in 1995.
He works with the Andretti Green Racing team with son Michael, and also oversees the Andretti Winery in Napa, Calif. and the Mario Andretti Racing School in Las Vegas.
Michael Andretti also owns condo units 3422 and 3420 in the Palms Place, and Andretti Green Racing member Dario Franchitti owns unit 3412.
Condo sales in Paradise dropped nearly 33 percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price went up though from $375,000 to $512,000.
