Germain Racing to field 3 trucks in Texas
What they will witness is three drivers, three champions and three personalities that are as different from each other as the east is from the west. They will see drivers with the nicknames ‘Mad Max’, ‘The Thrill from West Hill’, and another guy who refers to himself as ‘The Onion’. At this point, you may begin to understand Dave Moody’s perspective.
When the Chevy Silverado 350K gets underway on Friday night in the Lone Star State, the fans in attendance will be treated to a show when 2006 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion Todd Bodine, 2003 Champ Car Champion Paul Tracy and 2004 Rolex Grand-Am Series Champion Max Papis hit the 1.5-mile quad-oval as teammates. Yes, you read correctly, I did say teammates. More impressive is the fact that this is an exciting trio of champions who collectively bring with them passion and an unbridled enthusiasm that will keep NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series fans on the edge of their seats.
Todd Bodine will be in his #30 Lumber Liquidators Toyota Tundra, while Tracy will drive the #9 Toyota Tundra with sponsorship from Bombardier Learjet and Sport Clips. Fresh off of an announcement that finds him Sprint Cup Racing for the next four years with GEICO and Germain Racing, ‘Mad’ Max Papis will pilot the #07 GEICO Toyota Tundra.
Bodine and company will hit the track at Texas Motor Speedway for their opening practice session on Thursday, October 30th, at 1:30 PM (ET), with the final practice session being held at 3:15 PM (ET). Qualifying will be held on Thursday evening at 8:00 PM (ET).
The Chevy Silverado 350K is on Friday, October 31st, and it will be televised live on SPEED beginning at 8:30 PM (ET), while the Motor Racing Network (MRN) will carry the live radio broadcast.
