Ecclestone signs off new Brazil GP deal

(GMM) The immediate future of the Brazilian grand prix has been definitively secured through 2014.

It was reported last year that Bernie Ecclestone agreed the contract extension for the race, held at the Interlagos circuit outside downtown Sao Paulo.

Only this weekend, however, was all the documentation signed and ratified by the F1 chief executive, promoter Tamas Rohonyi, and city mayor Gilberto Kassab.

The full year's delay in the final implementation of the new deal was so the organizers could fulfill their promise to spend $15m in paddock improvements, a new medical centre and extra seating.
