Truck Series ratings, rise, still miniscule
With only six points separating driver Johnny Benson and defending champ Ron Hornaday and only two races remaining in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, race fans continue to tune to SPEED in increasing numbers. Last weekend's race from Texas scored a Nielsen Household Rating of 0.76 (558,000 households), up 38 percent from last year's 0.55 (398,000 households). The Texas race peaked at a 0.89 (654,000 households), up 33 percent from last year's peak of 0.67 (491,000 households).
The Texas increase marks the 16th time in 18 races on SPEED that Nielsen Household Ratings have topped last year’s numbers, 13 times by double digits.
