ALMS Winter test still on

Despite reports to the contrary, IMSA and the American Le Mans Series will hold its annual Winter Test at Sebring International Raceway from January 26-28, 2009. Teams from the American Le Mans Series, the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear and IMSA Lites presented by Hankook each will have the opportunity to gather at the site of the season-opening Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida.

The deadline for teams to register during the "early period" is January 2, 2009. In addition to the three days of testing, a four-hour window for media opportunities on Tuesday, January 27 is part of the schedule.
