Kansas Speedway Withdraws Application for Gaming Facility

Kansas Entertainment LLC, a 50/50 joint venture between The Cordish Company and Kansas Speedway, announced today it has withdrawn its application for Lottery Gaming Facility Manager for the Northeast Kansas gaming zone, with the intent to re-apply upon the re-opening of bidding for the zone. Along with today’s announcement, Kansas Speedway will delay plans for the addition of a road course and potential second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Should Kansas Entertainment be awarded the management contract upon re-application, Kansas Speedway remains committed to pursuing these projects.

When bidding re-opens, Kansas Entertainment’s new application will include a phased development plan, along with seeking realignment of a second Sprint Cup date and building a road course in Kansas Speedway’s infield. Kansas Speedway PR
