ISC won’t lower prices for fans
International Speedway Corp. officials told financial analysts this week that they expect lower admissions revenues in 2009 but don’t plan to offer any last-minute fire sales of tickets to fill more seats at their tracks, nor will they lower high tickets prices across the board.
“We’re going to stay true to our pricing principles … to treat our best customers the best," said ISC Senior Vice President Roger VanDerSnick during the conference call. “Those that renew with us early will continue to get the best deals possible.
“We’re going to be very cautious about reacting late in sales cycles and providing discounting pricing to new fans when we don’t provide those to our current fans."
“We do anticipate some pickup [in sales] as we get closer to events throughout 2009," VanDerSnick said.
