Allstate 400 tickets on sale Monday

Tickets for the 16th annual Allstate 400 at the Brickyard, scheduled for Sunday, July 26, 2009, will go on sale Monday, Dec. 15.

As a special incentive for loyal IMS fans, anyone who buys a Race Day ticket between Dec. 15-26 will receive a promotional code good for a 15 percent discount on all purchases at the IMS Online Store through 2009 Allstate 400 at the Brickyard Race Day, Sunday, July 26.

Fans have three methods to buy tickets:

  • Online: Visit the Tickets section of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's Web site, www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com.

  • In person: Visit the IMS Ticket Office, located in the IMS Administration Building at the intersection of 16th Street and Georgetown Road in Indianapolis. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Parking and camping permits for the annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series classic also can be purchased online, by phone or at the Ticket Office.

2008 race winner Jimmie Johnson will try to climb to No. 2 on the Brickyard win list next July with his third Allstate 400 at the Brickyard victory. Johnson's Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jeff Gordon leads with four victories.

Indiana native Tony Stewart also will aim for his third Allstate 400 at the Brickyard victory, but his first with his new team, Stewart-Haas Racing. Fellow Indiana native Ryan Newman joins Stewart as a teammate in 2009.

The 16th Allstate 400 at the Brickyard will be the second motor race of the track's Centennial Era, a three-year celebration honoring the 100th anniversaries of the opening of the famed facility in 1909 and the inaugural Indianapolis 500 in 1911.
