Jerez Day 1: Buemi still on top
Sebastien Buemi continued to set the pace in testing in Formula One, topping the times on the opening day of the week at Jerez, but that was before he crashed exiting the Peluqui corner. Buemi has been running a 2008 spec car all along (last week and now this week) so his test times mean absolutely nothing as other teams are already testing for 2009. Buemi fast times are being done to help convince his sponsors to sign on the dotted line. If he lands the ride then reality will set in.
