Briatore plays Santa in Kenya
The Renault boss, who has arrived in east Africa to spend the forthcoming holidays at his resort Lion In The Sun, had a Christmas gift in store for the local football team Zege FC.
Italian Briatore, 58, who co-owns the London club Queens Park Rangers, gave new uniforms and balls to the players.
"I saw these players playing bare feet at Mayungu when I walked around and promised to assist them with sports equipment," he is quoted as saying by the local Daily Nation newspaper.
He also said a container full of sports equipment for local schools and institutions is en route.
"This is just something small that I brought with me. Many more items are coming in one months' time," Briatore, who said a partnership between Kenyan teams and Queens Park Rangers could be set up, revealed.
