Japanese scientists show 800 hp, 230 mph electric car
Hiroshi Shimizo, a professor at Keio University in Japan, talks about the Eliica, an electric car powered by lithium ion batteries he has developed which has greater acceleration than a Porsche 911. Eight wheels, 800 hp, 0-60 mph in four seconds and a top speed of 230 mph. But we may never see the car: There is no investment for production and even if it were produced, the car is estimated to cost more than $300,000. View the video here.
