Several tracks still seeking Sprint Cup race sponsors

Five NASCAR Sprint Cup race track operators don’t have race entitlement sponsors for next season. Races at Darlington, Watkins Glen, Michigan (August), Kansas, and the two Dover events still need sponsorship.

A race sponsorship goes for $1M to $2M dollars. “It’s a very nice piece of revenue for that event," Watkins Glen President Craig Rust said. “And from promoting your event to partnering … it is important."

Darlington’s race was sponsored by Dodge, Watkins Glen’s race was sponsored by Centurion Boats, Michigan’s August race was sponsored by 3M, Kansas’ race was sponsored by Camping World and Dover’s races were sponsored by Best Buy and Camping World. Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where UAW/Dodge was the sponsor, has been replaced by Shelby Automobiles.
