Dakar Stage 11 cancelled
Heavy fog along the 225km route from Copiapo to Fiambala in Chile has led to the cancellation of Wednesday’s Dakar Rally stage.
Carlos Sainz will therefore head into the final three stages of the Dakar Rally leading by 27 minutes.
The rally organizers had to completely cancel that stage as it involved the crossing of the Andes and the border between Chile and Argentina.
Sainz leads fellow Volkswagen driver Mark Miller in the standings, having won the last four stages. Giniel de Villiers in another Volkswagen is third.
