Due to the individuality and prestige of the Michael Schumacher World Champion Tower concept, the International Board of Trustees of The American Institute of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS) felt it necessary to create a completely new category of the Star Diamond Award, honoring innovative and unique projects.
Michael Schumacher: "It is wonderful for this project to be acknowledged by such a prestigious award. This award means so much as it cements not only my belief, but also the belief of The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences in this incredibly visionary project. It is good to be associated with such an innovative, high-tech organization as PNYG is. Working together with this team is an exciting experience"
The award was presented on 10th January 2009 to PNYG CEO, Joachim Swensson, at a glittering Gala Ceremony – the highlight of the Monte Carlo Travel Market Exhibition (MCTM). PNYG is a visionary organization that delivers marketing-driven luxury lifestyle projects. From ideas, strategy and licenses, to business concepts and architectural solutions.
Joachim Swensson: This award is proof in our belief in innovation and the value of brands in the global market. It additionally proves to us that license, as the business model, is an innovative, winning concept for the future.
From January 9th to the 11th the Grimaldi Forum of Monaco played host to the fifth Monte Carlo Travel Market Exhibition and once again MCTM set itself apart and reconfirmed its strong position as one of the leading prestige travel and luxury lifestyle exhibitions in the world. After its first project launch in Abu Dhabi, PNYG presented the concept of the Michael Schumacher World Champion Tower (MSWCT) for the first time to a broader audience of high net worth individuals and industry peers with great response at the Monte Carlo Exhibition.
The brainchild of PNYG CEO, Joachim Swensson, the vision is for seven cities worldwide to share the first series of branded towers, marking Michael Schumacher’s extraordinary feat of seven World Championship titles. Each tower will be an inspiring architectural landmark, epitomizing the union of high technology and human tenacity that powered Michael Schumacher to a whole new level of sporting achievement.
The principles of energy, power and speed in architecture will be the essence of this ultra high-end development, designed according to the specifications of the local licensee and the market opportunities presented by each region.
The first Tower will be developed in Abu Dhabi by Marasi Real Estate Fund, the first Licensee of this PNYG concept.
Michael Kutschenreuter – CEO Marasi Fund: " We are proud that our flagship development is honored with the 5 Star Diamond Award. This confirms that the outstanding concept is recognized at the highest level in the world of luxury living environments and lifestyles. For Marasi and for me personally this Award is a strong incentive to make every effort to realize this exciting project with the success it deserves for the benefit of all its investors and shareholders".
The tower will be 240m tall, have 60 floors and around 250 apartments. The building will be the world’s first integrated Warf skyscraper operating sky-related and water-related apartments offering a multiplicity of possible apartment layouts. From the 50th floor upwards, there will be Sky-Villa’s stretching over three floors with stunning views and private pools on the roof. There will be areas containing tropical gardens and a heliport on the top of the tower.
The outdoor marina will be home to 30 yachts and there will be space for storing additional yachts in a fully automated indoor yacht-parking complex. Just as Michael Schumacher dominated Formula One, his tower will dominate the Reem waterfront in Abu Dhabi.
