Dyer leaves Motorsports Authentics

Motorsports Authentics Chief Executive Officer Mark Dyer has left the motorsports merchandise company, according to a company news release.

Dyer had left NASCAR in June 2007 to run the company, which is jointly owned by International Speedway Corp. and Speedway Motorsports Inc.

SMI executive Don Hawk, a member of Motorsports Authentic’s board of managers, has been appointed to oversee the day-to-day operations on an interim basis until a replacement can be found.

Hawk is well versed in the motorsports merchandise business, having handled the business affairs of Dale Earnhardt Sr.
