Gascoyne demands money from Force India

Mike Gascoyne, the former Force India F1 Team's Chief Technical Officer, is suing the team for damages and this for a sum of £2.5 million. Gascoyne was dismissed at the end of 2008, 12 months before his original three-year deal came to an end because he designed yet another backmarker car, the story of his career.

Since no one else with probably hire him after his latest failure, Gascoyne lodged legal paperwork in London's High Court for damages caused by his dismissal and demands around £2.5 million. This should be enough that he could retire. The former Chief Technical Officer was fired after Team Principal Vijay Mallya conducted a management reshuffle following the team's switch from Ferrari to Mercedes engines.
