Theissen predicts F1 grid shakeup in 2009
The radical rule changes that were introduced this year could lead to a big shake-up in Formula One's grid order, according to BMW team boss Mario Theissen.
Besides the return of slick tires and the introduction of the Kinetic Energy Recovery System, this year's Championship will also see major changes in the cars' aerodynamics.
Theissen feels the new regulations will shake up the 2009 grid order.
"I think we are going to witness some surprises," he told the official BMW website. "It goes without saying that the established teams once again have to be regarded as the favorites. But I think that the radical rule changes can make a significant impact on the 2009 grid order."
