Retired seven-times Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher has escaped unhurt from a motorcycle crash in Spain.
Schumacher, 40, was testing his Honda 1000 CBR-Fireblade German superbike at the Cartagena circuit, where he has been since Monday.
"Today I had an accident at the biking tests in Cartagena, and to be safe I went to a hospital," Schumacher said on his official website.
"The checks showed nothing and I just wanted to say that I am fine."
Sabine Kehm, spokeswoman for the racer, said: "It is only a slight concussion. Michael will fly home immediately (following his release)."
Schumacher also complained of pain in his right wrist, although no bones were broken.
His team boss Jens Holzhauer told Cologne's Express newspaper: "This was not as bad as it sounds. It was a harmless slip and a quite normal training fall. He will still fly home this evening." Yahoo! Sports
