Nationwide race TV ratings off slightly
Saturday’s Camping World 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway was the most-viewed series race ever on ESPN2. The cable network says the race earned a 2.4 household coverage rating from Nielsen Media Research, down from the 2.5 ESPN2 earned for the 2008 race, but this year’s race averaged 3,238,062 viewers, which represented a slight increase over the record viewership from a year earlier.
