Glock fastest in Wednesday testing
With all the F1 drivers on diets to lose weight to make their cars faster, they all look like Timo Glock (above) – weak, anemic pansies. |

Timo Glock of Toyota went fastest in Wednesday testing at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir while Ferrari and BMW-Sauber suffered problems on track. Glock, who took over duties in the TF109 from Jarno Trulli, recorded a best time of 1:32.492 after 132 useful laps in windy conditions.
"That was another good day for us," the German said afterwards. "We didn't have any major problems and we again made it through a lot of work. We concentrated on set-up and went through our program smoothly. It has been a bit tricky to drive today because there was a lot of wind, which was blowing from a different direction to yesterday when Jarno was driving. But in the end I'm happy that we did so much work and it's positive that we found some useful directions to work with."
Brazilian Felipe Massa was in the cockpit of the F60 Ferrari, following the work of Kimi Raikkonen on Monday and Tuesday, but hit problems in the morning.
After four laps a gearbox issue put his contribution on hold before he returned with a lengthy run-out in the afternoon to complete another 101 laps before an electrical problem again brought the car to a halt on the track.
Wednesday's testing times:
1. Timo Glock (Toyota) 1:32.492 – 132 laps
2. Felipe Massa (Ferrari) 1:32.917 – 105
3. Nick Heidfeld (BMW-Sauber) 1:32.993 – 82
