Conquest Racing completes first 2009 test

Conquest Racing completed their first open test of the season tonight at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The team used the two-day test, that was deemed productive, to try out different setups on their #34 Dallara in preparation for the upcoming season.

The team, who called upon 2008 driver Jaime Camara for this test, learned different things during their on-track sessions and accomplished everything they had put on their “to-do" list prior to arriving at Homestead.

“We come out of the test with more knowledge and that can only be a good thing," expressed team owner Eric Bachelart. “We’ll now go back to the shop and debrief on what we’ve learned in order to further our development while we anxiously await the start of the season."

Conquest Racing now heads back to Indianapolis as they continue to prepare for their third season of IndyCar Series competition. The team hopes to make an announcement regarding their 2009 driver lineup in the coming weeks. The 2009 IndyCar Series season gets underway April 5 with the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
