Meijer returns as race sponsor at Kentucky Speedway

Retailer Meijer Inc. has extended its sponsorships of NASCAR Nationwide Series and IndyCar Series races at Kentucky Speedway.

Financial terms of the sponsorships were not disclosed.

Under the agreement, the June 13 NASCAR Nationwide Series event will be called the “Meijer 300 presented by Ritz." The Aug. 1 IndyCar series event will be called the “Meijer Indy 300 Presented by Red Baron and Edy’s."

Meijer also will serve as “Official Supercenter" of Kentucky Speedway for the seventh consecutive season, the speedway said in a news release.

In that role, Meijer will receive signage and advertising at the track, luxury suite access and event tickets for the races. In return, Meijer will promote the races in its stores.
