Bachelart to Compete in Skip Barber National Series

Promising young driver Eliott Bachelart will be returning to the seat of a Skip Barber car this week when he takes part in the BF Goodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda races at Sebring International Raceway on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20.

"I couldn’t be happier to race right now. I’ve been looking forward to this event for the past month and I’ve been preparing very hard both mentally and physically," expressed Eliott.

The son of Conquest Racing team owner Eric Bachelart will be competing in his second Skip Barber National event. His first came at Cleveland in 2007. Although the younger Bachelart will be making his first Skip Barber start at Sebring International Raceway he is no stranger to the course.

“This is an important year for me and I will have to give it my best. I can't wait to get back in the car after a few months of focusing on school. I've tested here at Sebring before in the Skip Barber Car so I know the track already and that should help coming into the first practice day on Tuesday.

“Right now I’m focused on this first event, but I’m hoping to put together a full season," he concluded.

This week will also mark a return of sorts for the 17-year-old behind the wheel. His last race came at Spa-Francorchamps in his native Belgium this past August when he drove for the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium National Team at the Formula Academy Euro Series rounds at the famed track. The second-generation driver also tested a Formula BMW car last year and previously competed in Skip Barber Regional races while taking a couple of podium finishes in his Formula Renault 1.6 debut in Europe.
